2016 Giving Challenge

2016 Giving Challenge Logo

Transition Sarasota is excited to announce that we will be participating in the 2016 Giving Challenge, a 24-hour event supporting more than 450 nonprofits serving Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte and Desoto counties.

Although we have taken part in the Giving Challenge in the past as part of the Peace Education & Action Center, this is the first year we will be raising funds as an independent 501(c)(3) organization. As a result, all donations made to Transition Sarasota during this event will be considered "new" and matched 2:1 up to $100. A host of other lucrative prizes are also available.

Your tax-deductible contribution during the 2016 Giving Challenge will help support our new documentary film series, the seventh season of our Suncoast Gleaning Project, our sixth annual Eat Local Week, and the second print edition of our Eat Local Resource Guide & Directory. For more information about Transition Sarasota, please visit our official Giving Partner profile.

The 2016 Giving Challenge is presented by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County with giving strengthened by The Patterson Foundation, as well as support from the Manatee Community Foundation, John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, William G. and Marie Selby Foundation, and the Herald-Tribune Media Group.
