Here's a bit about what you can expect to find at these fine establishments throughout the week:


Mattison's Restaurants

Mattison's purchases a wide variety of local produce. While they cannot guarantee that these ingredients are always in the same dishes, here is a small sample of what they carry and the farms they source from:

Kale from Sweetgrass Farms.

Bison from Three Suns Ranch.

Purslane from Mote Aquaculture.

Potatoes from Jones Potato Farm.

Various products from Dakin Dairy Farms.

Gecko's Grill & Pub

Salads: seasonal greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, and other produce sourced from Honeyside Farms in Sarasota.

Weekly Chef’s Specials: as seasonal produce is harvested, they offer zucchini fries and other fresh sides, such as broccoli, kale, eggplant, and various desserts with local strawberries.

Bison Burger: 100% steroid and hormone-free, sourced from Three Suns Ranch in Punta Gorda.

Gator Bites: parmesan breaded and seasoned bites, fried and served with cocktail sauce. Locally-sourced from 4F Gator Farm in Arcadia.

Sarasota County Schools

During Eat Local Week, their Florida farm-to-school items will include cucumbers, grapefruits, oranges, tomatoes, and green beans.
