A fundraiser to show our appreciation for the Green Path Veterans Farm and other area nonprofits supporting our veterans. You can attend yourself, or sponsor a local veteran to attend, or both. The event includes an informal dinner, featuring local produce from the farm and other ingredients, prepared by chef Bryan Jacobs of Vets2Success. Farm tours, beer and wine, music and raffle gifts will make for a fun-filled family evening.
Vets2Success is a nonprofit program founded by chef Bryan Jacobs. It helps veterans return to their communities through food and brewing programs. It was created after the loss of the founder's younger brother to veteran suicide, as well as the founder's personal battle to readjust once back in his community. With food and brewing as his guiding passion, he shows veterans a path toward a new purpose in life.
The Green Path Veterans Farm is a certified organic farm shared with Easter Seals Southwest Florida. Its mission is to provide cooperative vocational training to veterans in agriculture, landscaping and entrepreneurial skills as they transition back to civilian life. It includes a new permaculture food forest—a dynamic, biodiverse ecosystem whose edible landscape will provide fresh fruit and greens to VIP Academy students at Easter Seals, veterans and local chefs, and will serve as an outdoor learning space.
The Green Path Veterans Farm is supported by the Florida Veterans for Common Sense, Easter Seals Southwest Florida and SRQVets.
$35 to sponsor a veteran,
