The Manatee Rare Fruit Council presents a free tour of its collection of 75 mature tropical fruit trees in Palma Sola Botanical Park.  The collection is maintained by the Council, a local non-profit organization devoted to supporting home growers of tropical fruit in the Suncoast region.  Council members will guide the tour, which requires about 1/2 mile of easy walking, and answer questions about the collection and about tropical fruit horticulture.  This is a family-friendly event and a wonderful opportunity to experience a little-known treasure right here in Bradenton. Palma Sola Botanical Park is maintained by a private non-profit foundation and is freely open to the public.  It is available for weddings and other events; details are available at its website
