This free event is a guided tour of the rare fruit tree collection maintained by the Manatee Rare Fruit Council at Palma Sola Botanical Park, near Geraldson Community Farm and Robinson Preserve in Bradenton.
Included in this extensive collection of more than 75 tropical and sub-tropical trees are well-known fruits such as avocados, mangos, and lychees, as well as many unusual ones like atemoya, caimito, jakfruit, Panama cherry, cecropia, and more.
The tour will be directed by knowledgeable members of the Rare Fruit Council. School-age children are welcome. Entrance to the park is free, as is parking.
