Join the Manatee Rare Fruit Council for a tour of the rare fruit tree collection located in beautiful Palma Sola Botanical Park. The tour is free and does not require registration.

The Palma Sola collection is maintained by the Manatee Rare Fruit Council, a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to supporting home growers of tropical and subtropical fruit: mangos, lychees, longans, avocados, and many more!

This tour requires about 1/2 mile of easy walking, and will be directed by members of Council, who will be happy to answer questions and give advice. The Council has monthly meetings with informative lectures on fruit tree horticulture, and welcomes everyone from beginner to expert.

Please note that the Medicinal and Edible Plants in Our Landscape walk with Bob Linde will begin 1/2 hour after the completion of the Palma Sola tour, at Geraldson Community Farm, which is immediately south of Palma Sola on 99th Avenue Northwest.
