Sustainable Communities Conversation: Energy

Do you care about sustainable energy? Are you interested in energy efficiency and renewable energy in the built environment? If so, please plan to attend this Sustainable Communities Conversation on "The State of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in Sarasota County".

A panel of local energy experts and industry representatives will discuss trends in energy efficiency and renewable energy in Sarasota County over the last ten years and what the future might hold. They will share data on energy use and installation of solar technologies, and will identify opportunities and barriers to increased adoption of sustainable energy solutions. Speakers include:

Following the panel discussion, attendees will be asked to share their thoughts and identify what they see as the highest priority issues on the topic of energy. The results of this discussion will feed into a Sustainability Assessment Report being developed in advance of Sarasota County's 10th Annual Sustainable Communities Workshop, which will take place on December 3rd. They will also be provided as input for the current update of Sarasota County's Comprehensive Plan.
