This Episode:

First Half

The effort to get more fresh, healthy, and sustainably-produced foods into American public schools is rapidly gaining momentum. Malory Foster, Sarasota County's Farm to School Liaison, will be joining us in the studio during the first half of the show to discuss the current state of the Farm to School program locally, share insights from her recent trip to the National Farm to Cafeteria Conference, and speculate on where all of this might be heading.

Second Half

In the second half of the show, Peter Burkard, author of The Real Dirt: An Organic Grower's Journey and the Values That Inspired It,  will offer tips for how to make the most of your Florida Summer vegetable garden. Time permitting, Peter will also share with us some of the other steps he has personally taken towards getting "off the grid."
