This Episode:

First Half

Grove Ladder Farm is a half-acre homestead producing whole rabbits, pastured chicken eggs, fresh greens, honey, and more. Its founder, Tim Clarkson, will be speaking to us about his ecological farming practices, inspired Virginia farmer Joel Salatin, and his plans for expanding his operation, based on the growing demand for farm-fresh eggs.

Second Half

The 2014 Community Resilience Challenge is organized around four themes: Save Water, Grow Food, Conserve Energy, and Build Community. Throughout the month of May participants will be installing greywater systems, planting gardens, weatherizing homes, and undertaking many other resilience-building projects. Marissa Mommaerts, Director of Communications for Transition US, will tell us about some of the most exciting actions currently happening across the country and how you can get involved.
