Transition Sarasota is thrilled to invite you to join us for an evening of community and learning. This year we themed Eat Local Week "Exploring Food Waste", a topic near and dear to our hearts. As an organization we have been working to tackle food waste in our community for over 9 years. We invite you to learn about our journey and where we hope it can take us with your continued support.
The evening begins in the Grand Living of Lakewood Ranch Bistro with this VIP, limited capacity event. Guests will learn more about Transition Sarasota and be able to meet the featured expert panelists while sampling a variety of appetizers crafted by Executive Chef Michael Norman showcasing local produce in a creative root-to-stem method, utilizing the full capacity of the ingredient and reducing waste. Libations and cocktails will be available featuring Siesta Key Rum.
The evening continues across the hall with a screening of the film WASTED! A Story About Food Waste. Before the screening, visit with Transition Sarasota partners or enter to win a raffle prize. After the screening hear from and engage with our own local Sarasota food waste warriors as they share and answer questions after the film.
All ticket proceeds will go to supporting Transition Sarasota's initiatives, we look forward to sharing our passion with you.
